It is every human responsibility to follow echo friendly systems as we know how our environment getting polluted. One of the echo friendly systems is avoiding paper usage as much as possible. This can be achieved easily with help of advancement in technologies. 

Now a day’s so many technologies are coming out to make our lives more comfort, user-friendly and luxurious. In this project we are replacing current paper based attendance system with RFID technology and also we will give confirmation of attendance recording with voices messages.

RFID is an acronym for Radio Frequency Identification. RFID is one member in the family of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies and is a fast and reliable means of identifying just about any material object. This project can be applied in real time applications such as recording the attendance. This system can be used in big companies, industries, colleges, schools, etc where the attendance recording has to be maintained. This system helps us in recording the attendance of a person easily within fraction of seconds. Primarily, the two main components involved in a Radio Frequency Identification system are the Transponder (tags that are attached to the object) and the Interrogator (RFID reader). Communication between the RFID reader and tags occurs wirelessly.

In this project each user will be given one RFID card which contains unique number to represent user ID number. Whenever user show his card to this system then this card transmit its number to RFID reader and this data will be given to micro controller to record the attendance and also play the respective voices.

To play the voice messages we do not need any separate voice module because we can play that voice from ARM7 LPC2148 micro controller directly by saving pre recorded voice message in micro controller’s memory in the form of binary



Software Tools:

  • KEIL IDE for developing micro controller code
  • ORCAD for designing schematics
  • FLASH MAGIC for dumping the hex file into controller

Hardware Tools:

  • ARM7 based LPC2148 Micro controller.
  • Audio amplifier. 
  • RFID reader and RFID cards
  • Speaker. 
  • Regulated +3.3v and +5v Power supply.
